The 400,000 dwt very large ore carrier, built by the domestic shipyard, is the largest and most advanced one in the world. The carrier, which is 362m long, 65m wide and 30.4m high, has a speed of 14.5 knots and endurance of 25,500 nautical miles. It has 7 warehouses and the area of the splint is as large as 3 football fields. VLOC is mainly used for transportation of iron ore on the Brazilian-Chinese route, saving nearly 20 tons of fuel per day. And the per unit weight transportation cost of iron ore is also reduced by 30%. In addition, the loading and unloading speed at the dock is twice as fast as before. All in all, this carrier is superior in every respect to the previous shipping vessel.

The new type ore ship is planned to be built by four domestic shipyards for a total of 30 vessels, which mainly used for iron ore transportation on the Brazilian-Chinese route. The performance of these newly built ore vessels in China has reached the international leading level. It is of great significance to add some advantages to participating in the international maritime transportation of iron ore in the future.
