1.Ulstein Verft Shipyard today paved the keel for the ship's Color Line's "Color Hybrid" passenger and passenger ferry. This is the world's largest battery-hybrid ship and is expected to be operational in July 2019.

According to reports, the paving keel ceremony was held at the Crist shipyard in Gdynia, Poland on April 16 this year, marking the assembly of 14 large modules of the ship. Upon completion, the ship's hull is expected to be towed to the Nortelvik shipyard in Norway for final assembly in October this year, scheduled for delivery in May 2019.

2. According to the 2018 Hamburg Maritime Exhibition (SMM) Maritime Industry Report, up to 44% of shipowners are considering the choice of LNG power for new ships. The report pointed out that LNG will become one of the possible ways to meet the requirements of the sulfur limit order implemented on January 1, 2020. The International Maritime Organization has made it clear that the regulation will be implemented without delay.

LNG powerboats and LNG filling facilities can easily convert fossil fuel LNG to renewable or zero-emission LNG, which means that the current investment in LNG powerboats and filling facilities will enable the shipping industry to significantly reduce carbon emissions.
