On the morning of March 12, 2019, the launching ceremony of the China Merchants Industrial Group Polar Expedition Cruise Ship No. 1 and the commencement ceremony of the No. 3 ship was held in Haimen, Jiangsu. This Polar Expedition Cruise Vessel is the first of 4+6 Expedition Cruise Vessel Contract signed by China Merchants Industrial Group and SunStone of the United States. The vessel is 104.4 meters long, 18.4 meters wide, and its designed navigational speed is not less than 15.5 knots/h. The advanced nature and uniqueness of these vessels are in a leading position in the world.

No. 1 is the first ship of China Merchants Industrial Group's Polar Expedition Cruise Series, and is also the first domestic cruise in China，which opened up the precedent of “Cruise Made in China”. However, the construction of polar expedition vessel is not an easy task and requires close cooperation between ship owner, shipyard, suppliers and classification societies. We are lucky enough to participate in the construction of the No. 1 ship, providing UPS and lighting systems. And also participated in the construction of the No. 3 ship. We will be continuing to provide the corresponding services to the best of our ability, cooperate with China Merchants Group on the subsequent series of ships.
